Scout Troop 92 Junior Jamboree

On
May 2, 3, and 4 the Girl Scouts of Frontier Council is holding the Junior
Jamboree campout in Logandale, Nevada. Junior Troop #92 is working on their
Bronze Award and will be holding a badge workshop for “Sky Search”. They
would like to invite ASNLV to join them on the evening of the 3rd to show
the girls some of those wonderful objects in the sky. They are requesting
ASNLV members to bring their telescopes to the Clark County Fairgrounds to
assist them with this project and outing.
The girls that will be attending this event are all juniors, ages 9-12.
Please remember there may be 200-300 girls attending this event.
If you are interested in
participating in this event, or have any questions, please go to the website
and sign-up on the home page. We would appreciate you signing up early so we
can make plans for that weekend.
Just a side note to this request. As you
remember Troop 92 is the
troop Katie Carrell, one of our members is in. This is the same troop that
we did the star party for last September which was a huge success for our
society. This is another great opportunity to interface with our future
astronomers and promote our hobby to the public. We are hoping that we can
again provide our services to such an outstanding group of girls and leaders
in our community. Your support of this event will make it another society
success.
